The famous MMS scandal of 2004 involving the two school-going teenagers is used as a sub-plot by Anurag Kashyap in his film Dev. D the contemporary version of historic novel 'Devdas'.
Kalki Koechlin , the newbie who is Chandramukhi in the movie, gets to play the character based on that young girl.
According to the official site, the movie has character named Leni who is a rich spoilt girl with hyperactive hormones. And after getting involved in MMS sex scandal, she is abandoned by her family and becomes a recluse. Later on she meets a pimp, Chunni. Leni is a college student by day and becomes Chanda a high profile call-girl by night.
